NIT Committee Adds Coaching Legend: The NIT added former Purdue coach Gene Keady and retired New Mexico athletic director Rudy Davalos to its selection committee. Keady retired as Purdue’s coach after the 2005 season and spent part of last season as an assistant coach with the NBA’s Toronto Raptors. Davalos, a former member of the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball committees, retired in August. [10/02/06]
