Pitino Says Padgett Could Be Out Until February: According to a post on his Web site, Louisville coach Rick Pitino doesn’t expect junior center David Padgett to be ready to play until January or February. Padgett underwent off-season knee surgery and has been rehabbing his knee for months. It’s another big hit on a Louisville team that missed the NCAA Tournament last season after making a Final Four run the year before. The team also enters the season without power forwards Chad Millard and Brian Johnson, who transferred to other schools. [10/18/06]
