Bryce Drew Named Associate Head Coach at Valpo: Bryce Drew, who led Valparaiso to the Sweet 16 in1998 and later played in the NBA, was promoted to associate head coach under his father. Drew, most famous for a game-winning three-pointer against Mississippi in the first round of the 1998 NCAA Tournament, is the third member of the Drew family to work for the Crusaders. Homer Drew has coached the Crusaders for 16 seasons, while Scott Drew was an assistant and spent one year as head coach until leaving for Baylor. Homer Drew resumed head coaching duties and is expected to pass them on to Bryce within the next few seasons. Bryce Drew is Valparaiso’s career leader in points (2,142), assists (626) and three-pointers (364). [10/25/06]
