St. John’s Spears Suspended Indefinitely: Aaron Spears, a senior center at St. John’s, has been suspended from the team for violating unspecified team rules. Coach Norm Roberts said Spears was not meeting certain school expectations, and he will return to the team after an “appropriate amount of time.” The 6-10 Spears was averaging 2.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this season before his suspension.
