Former Terrapin Gets Modified Sentence: Former Maryland forward Travis Garrison will not have to serve time in prison or register as a sex offender after a judge altered his sentence for assaulting a woman at a bar in 2005. Thanks to a plea, Garrison, who now plays professionally for the Great Falls Explorers in the Continental Basketball league, will have to serve two years probation, take anger management courses and perform 100 hours of community service.
