Fazekas Likely Out at San Jose State: Nevada’s two-time Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Nick Fazekas, will likely miss at least one game because of a severe ankle sprain. Fazekas injured his ankle late in the first half of his 15th-ranked Wolf Pack’s 90-86 squeaker against Boise State Monday night. X-rays were negative, but coach Mark Fox wants to wait to see how his star forward will respond to treatment. Fazekas is “extremely doubtful” for Thursday’s conference game at San Jose State Fazekas, the all-time leading scorer at Nevada, is averaging 20.3 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. [1/10/07]
