South Florida: Players Come and Go for South Florida

Players Come and Go for South Florida: South Florida’s Aris Williams went home to receive a second opinion on his injured knee. Williams has not played since Dec. 31, but he averages 3.5 points and 17.6 minutes per game for the Bulls. Point guard Chris Howard started his first game for the Bulls, helping the team to their second Big East win with eight points and 10 assists against Cincinnati. As the seventh South Florida player to be injured this year, Melvyn Richardson will not suit up against West Virginia because of a foot injury. Senior guard Chris Capko is trying to come back from an ankle injury and is questionable for that game. A return to the Bulls’ bench is Jesus Verdejo, who was benched because of a coach’s decision for the Cincinnati contest. Although Verdejo has started nine games this season, coach McCullum would not say if he will start against the Mountaineers. [1/17/07]
