Long Beach State: Long Beach State’s NCAA Tournament Hopes in Jeopardy

Long Beach State’s NCAA Tournament Hopes in Jeopardy: Two key players for Long Beach State have been suspended by the university because of academic eligibility, including the team’s second-leading scorer, Kejuan Johnson, and 6-9 senior Mark Dawson. In addition, associate coach Reggie Howard is under suspension pending an investigation by the NCAA because of recruitment practices in summer 2005. The suspensions come in the midst of Long Beach State’s run for the NCAA tournament, trailing conference leader Cal State Fullerton by only one game. [2/03/07]
