Former NCAA Star Stevens Dies Working Out: Former Iowa State star Barry Stevens died Wednesday of unknown causes during a workout . He was 43. Stevens was the second-leading scorer in Iowa State basketball history with 2,190 points and averaged more than 21 points in his last two years with the school. His 47 points against Morgan State in 1985 are the second-most ever scored by a Cyclone in a single game. Stevens is survived by a wife and three children. Funeral arrangements are pending.
