Oklahoma State: Cowboys’ Boggan Suspended for Baylor Game

Cowboys’ Boggan Suspended for Baylor Game: Oklahoma State’s leading scorer and rebounder, Mario Boggan, was suspended by coach Sean Sutton for one game after tape reviews revealed the forward head-butted Wildcats forward Cartier Martin in the final minute of the Cowboys’ 84-70 win vs. Kansas State Tuesday night. The suspension hurts the Cowboys’ chances at getting their first true road win Saturday at Baylor. Oklahoma State is currently tied for sixth place with Missouri in the Big 12 Conference and faces a difficult time getting an NCAA tournament berth. The 6-7, 250-pound Boggan, who apologized over the incident, averages 20.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. [3/01/07]
