Tennessee Women’s Coach Builds Pyramid: Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt, playing catch-up to men ‘s coach Bruce Pearl, dressed up as a cheerleader and sang “Rocky Top,” propelling the Volunteers men’s team to an 86-76 upset of Florida Tuesday night. Summitt, the winningest basketball coach in NCAA history, ended her performance by climbing to the top of a short human pyramid formed by assistant coaches Dean Lockwood and Holly Warlick. She was trying to match Pearl’s showing after he painted his body orange and cheered in the stands when the Lady Vols faced Duke in January. The stunt has been replayed on ESPN, which didn’ t break for a commercial during the show, and the Internet since. [3/01/07]
