Waltman Out at Indiana State: Indiana State will not renew coach Royce Waltman’s contract, ending his tenure as the Sycamores’ coach. The Terre Haute Tribune-Star first reported the school’s decision to cut ties with Waltman, and he confirmed the news during a press conference after Indiana State lost to Creighton in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Waltman had led the Sycamores for 10 years and led the team to its first NCAA Tournament since Larry Bird took Indiana State to the title game in 1979. Waltman finishes his run at Indiana State with a 134-164 record. [3/02/07]
