Mid-Continent Conference Tournament Quarterfinals: No. 1 Oral Roberts slammed No. 8 Centenary 79-59 in the first game of the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament. The Golden Eagles torched the nets by shooting 56.5 percent from the field. Oral Roberts was stingy on defense, holding its counterparts to 33.9 percent shooting. Senior forward Caleb Green led the Golden Eagles with 25 points and nine rebounds.
No. 2 Oakland pounded No. 7 Western Illinois 74-57 to earn a spot in the semifinals. The Golden Grizzlies will play the winner of No. 3 Valparaiso and No. 6 Missouri – Kansas City. Oakland cruised to victory after devouring the Leathernecks in the first half. The Golden Grizzlies held the Kangaroos to nearly 20 percent shooting from the field in the first half while catching fire on offense, hitting more than 60 percent of their field goals.
