NCAA Reviews Academic Issues Facing Men’s Basketball: NCAA officials formed a group including coaches, athletic directors, college presidents and others to investigate academic performance of NCAA athletes. Up to 45 percent of Division I men’s basketball teams could face penalties for poor academic performance, leading to the formation of the group. Other factors that will be examined are length of season and time away from campus.  [5/30/07]
