New Mexico Players and Assistant Injured in Boat Accident: The New Mexico basketball team was snorkeling on an off day of a tournament in the Bahamas when the boat’s 60-foot mast hit a bridge and collapsed. Guard Darren Prentice experienced a gash under one eye, forward Roman Martinez suffered a cut on his ankle, and assistant Craig Neal was struck on the knee by falling debris. No one was seriously injured and the team’s boat was eventually rescued by tour boats and pulled into a dock.  [5/30/07]
