UC San Diego Hires Chris Carlson as Coach: Chris Carlson, an assistant to Ben Howland at UCLA, has become San Diego’s newest coach. Carlson has worked with Howland for four years. He replaces Bill Carr who was 38-45 in three seasons at San Diego. The Toreros were 12-15 last season and return all but one player. [6/13/07]
