Missouri Transfer Shot Outside Nightclub: Vanderbilt transfer DeMarre Carroll was shot in the ankle early Thursday outside a downtown nightclub. Carroll, a 20-year-old junior who transferred to Missouri for the 2007-08 season, was hospitalized and released after the 1:30 a.m. shooting. Coach Mike Anderson, Carroll ‘s uncle, said in a written statement that it seemed that his nephew would be fine after the incident. At Vanderbilt, Carroll averaged 10.9 points and 6.4 rebounds in 29 games for the Commodores in the 2005-06 season. [7/6/07]
