UConn Promotes Blaney: George Blaney has been promoted to associate head coach under Jim Calhoun at Connecticut. Blaney, 67, replaces Tom Moore, who took the head coaching job at Quinnipiac. Blaney was previously the head coach at Holy Cross, his alma mater, for 22 seasons. He has also coached at Seton Hall and was an assistant at Rhode Island. [7/24/07]
