NCAA Picks New Officials Coordinator: The NCAA has chosen John Adams to replace Hank Nichols as the coordinator for officiating, starting at the end of this season. Nichols has been the coordinator since 1986, and he announced he will retire at the end of this season. Adams has worked with the Horizon League, Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and Great Lakes Valley Conference as a coordinator of officials. He has helped evaluate officials for the NCAA for the past seven years. In addition, he has worked as a liaison between the NCAA’s rules committee and the Conference Commissioners Association’s officiating coordinators. [10/23/07]
