Former Washington State Player Found Dead in Brazil: Two weeks after he was reporting missing, Tony Harris, who was a member of Washington State’s 1994 East Regional team, was found dead in a forest in Brazil with shoelaces tied around his throat. The police believe that his death was a suicide, but they are not ruling out the possiblity of homicide. Harris had recently signed with a team in Brazil, but a previous stint there had ended poorly, with Harris telling people that his previous coach had said things that could “put him at risk.” [11/19/07]
