Big 12 Chastises Knight: Big 12 officials reprimanded Texas Tech coach Bob Knight for comments he made after the Red Raiders’ Dec. 15 loss to New Mexico. Knight said the officials made a “horrendous call” at the end of the first half when Lobo freshman Dairese Gary made a half-court shot at the buzzer. Knight said Gary clearly did not release the shot in time, but officials counted the basket. Knight’s comments violated the Big 12’s sportsmanship policy. [12/27/07]
