Kentucky Legend Dies at 81: Bill Keightley, Kentucky’s basketball manager, died of internal bleeding from a tumor on his spine. He was rushed to the University Hospital after falling on his way to the Cincinnati Reds’ season opener. Keightley’s legacy lasted through many Kentucky greats, such as, Adolph Rupp, Joe B. Hall, Eddie Sutton, Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith. A jersey was retired in his honor in 1997. [4/02/08]
