Younger Hansbrough to Transfer: Mississippi State guard Ben Hansbrough will transfer following the end of the current semester, head coach Rick Stansbury announced. The sophomore’s improvement this season was among the keys to the Bulldogs winning the SEC West and reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Moving into the starting lineup, he averaged 10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, ranking fourth on the team in scoring and third in assists, and he also led the team in free throw shooting at just under 79 percent. He is the younger brother of North Carolina star Tyler Hansbrough. [4/07/08]
