Cowboys Select Ford: Oklahoma State has hired Massachusetts’ Travis Ford to become the Cowboys’ next coach. Ford comes to Stillwater after leading the Minutemen to the NIT championship game this past season. He compiled a 62-35 record in three seasons with Massachusetts and had the Minutemen competing among the Atlantic 10’s elite. The Cowboys hope Ford can do the same in the Big 12 with Oklahoma State. The university and former coach Sean Sutton cut ties earlier this month after the son of legendary Cowboy coach Eddie Sutton failed to meet lofty expectations. [4/21/08]
