Oklahoma State: Ford’s Deal Approved

Ford’s Deal Approved: Oklahoma State’s Travis Ford will receive $9 million over seven years after the Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents approved the new coach’s contract. Ford has not signed the deal yet because the details are still being worked out, but his contract started Friday and will last through June 30, 2015. He was the coach at Massachusetts for the past three seasons and led the Minutemen to the NIT championship game last season. Ford replaces Sean Sutton, who resigned after pressure from the university. [4/24/08]
