Rice Suspended for Season Opener: Boston College coach Al Skinner suspended the Eagles’ leading scorer, Tyrese Rice, for violating a team rule. Without Rice, Boston College still beat Central Connecticut State 80-65. The senior guard averaged 21.0 points and five assists per game last season for the Eagles. [11/14/08]
