Sexual Assault Case Against Collins Dropped: Kansas senior point guard Sherron Collins and a 35-year-old woman have agreed that a civil lawsuit for sexual assault should be dismissed. Neither person can bring subsequent legal action against the other. The woman accused Collins in May 2007 of brandishing himself in an elevator and rubbing against her. A judge ordered Collins to pay $75,000 in damages in June after Collins did not file a response to the woman’s lawsuit. But his attorney successfully argued that a previous attorney had cut off the attorney/client relationship without telling Collins. [11/14/08]
