Stepheson Must Wait Till Next Year: USC junior forward Alex Stepheson must sit out this season according to NCAA rules for transfers. Stepheson transferred to USC from North Carolina at the end of last season because he wanted to be closer to his sick father, who lives in California. He tried to get an exemption for the NCAA to play immediately, even though transfers typically must sit for a year before they can play for their new team. Stepheson averaged 4.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Tar Heels last season.
