Tennessee: Vols Seek to Whiteout Cancer

The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to raise funds for its Outlive program designed to fight cancer. Graduate manager Brooks Savage proposed the program after watching former Volunteer Chris Lofton battle cancer and current Volunteer Tyler Smith deal with the death of his father due to complications caused by cancer. With active support from coach Bruce Pearl, the Outlive program raises money partially through selling $15 T-shirts. The Volunteers want everyone attending the Jan. 31 rivalry game against Florida to buy a T-shirt and wear it to the game as a sign of unity against the Gators — and cancer.
