Nevada: Phillips Dismissed Amid Gun Charges

Nevada freshman forward Ahyaro Phillips was dismissed from the the Wolf Pack after he was arrested and charged with possession of a deadly weapon on a university campus. Phillips had the gun, which he took from sophomore point guard Armon Johnson’s house, during a confrontation with two Nevada football players, according to police reports. Phillips could face a year in prison if convicted of the charges. He averaged 2.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game this past season.
