Notre Dame sophomore guard Scott Martin tore his left ACL during a workout and will miss the upcoming season, according to a university release.
Martin sat out last season after transferring from Purdue, where he averaged 8.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game as a freshman. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after missing this season while recovering from surgery.
The university said Martin will undergo surgery later this month.
