Kentucky: Gillispie and University Reach Settlement

Kentucky agreed to a $3.25 million settlement with its former coach, Billy Gillispie, according to an Associated Press report. All charges will be dropped.

Gillispie filed suit against Kentucky in May, claiming the university owed him about $6 million from his contract. Kentucky countered by saying the statement was false because Gillispie never signed a contract. The parties settled their differences Tuesday.

Gillespie coached the Wildcats for two years, went 40-27 and reached an NCAA Tournament and the NIT.
