Minnesota: Forward Must Resolve Felony Charges Before Playing

According to CBSSports.com wire reports, Minnesota forward Trevor Mbakwe will not be allowed to play for the No. 25 Gophers until his court charges for felony aggravated battery are cleared up.

Mbakwe faces a December trial for an alleged attack on a woman in Miami in April. The player’s attorney claims Mbakwe was mistakenly identified as the assailant.

The junior can attend classes and participate in practices and team activities. He however will not be allowed to suit up for home matches or travel with the team.
