Mississippi State: Stansbury Won’t Stand for Insolence

Four days after Mississippi State’s Kodi Augustus blasted his coach following an 88-74 loss to Rider that knocked the Bulldogs out of the AP Top 25, an Associated Press report states that the forward has been suspended for two games.

Augustus seems to think that coach Rick Stansbury’s decision was fair after he was apologetic when asked for comment. The coach and player also clashed last season, but they seemed to have worked out their differences.

Augustus, who is expected to play a big role for the Bulldogs this season, only played 15 minutes against Rider. Augustus used two expletives and criticized Stanbury after the upset loss.

Augustus will miss games against Southeastern Louisiana tomorrow and Bethune Cookman Nov. 21.
