Binghamton: Interim Coach Receives Bump in Pay

Binghamton interim coach Mark Macon received a raise to his $57,651 salary, according to an Associated Press report. The increase in his pay hasn’t been disclosed.

Macon took over the team in mid-October after coach Kevin Broadus, who made $230,000 a year, was placed on paid leave following the arrest of starting point guard Emanuel “Tiki” Mayben on alleged drug charges and the dismissal of five other Bearcats because of unspecified violations.

The Bearcat program is under investigation by the State University of New York.

Broadus, the reigning America East Conference coach of the year, has been given limited duties with the team.
