NCAA Tournament Bracket Breakdown: Projected Field 10.0

We’ve got just about 90 minutes until the selection committee releases the field for this year’s NCAA Tournament. After the action of yesterday and today, we’ve got a decent amount of movement in seeding. Here’s what’s been going on.

  • Connecticut’s amazing run to the Big East championship nets the Huskies a No. 2 seed, which forces BYU to a No. 3 seed. Louisville remains a No. 2 seed.
  • North Carolina’s ugly loss to Duke in the ACC championship caps an underwhelming conference tournament for the Tar Heels, and they slide to No. 4. In their place, Kentucky moves up to a No. 3 seed.
  • If Penn State finds a way to beat Ohio State, the Nittany Lions would likely move out of the First Four and into a No. 11 seed. Because its late in Sunday, I’m guessing the selection committee’s contingency plan would be to put Michigan into that No. 12 spot.

Let’s get to the brackets. As always, please share your thoughts.
