New York City- The Big East announced a restricted attendance policy for the remainder of the tournament. The decision was made during the DePaul-Xavier first round game at Madison Square Garden. Attendees will be limited to student-athletes, coaches, event staff, key personnel, conference staff and credentialed media. Immediate family member of the participating teams will be admitted. Each school is allotted 200 tickets.
We have made the decision due to the rapid progression of COVID-19 and escalating developments nationally,” said Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman. “The support of our fans made the Big East Tournament one of the most exciting events in college basketball, but the health and well being of our participants is of paramount importance.”
Refunds for purchased tickets to fans at the point of purchase.
